Collaboration with tax advisors worldwide
The digital assets your clients hold and trade keep growing, and the tax rules around them keep getting more complex. That combination creates real room for optimization, and a growing load of documentation and preparation work for every client.
Reporting obligations are expanding
Automatic reporting from 2027
From 2027, exchanges in numerous jurisdictions will report their clients’ transactions to the tax authorities automatically, under the OECD framework CARF and, in the EU, DAC8. Those clients will need documentation and tax advice.
Source: OECD Global Forum — jurisdictions committed to the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework: 48 (2023), 67 (2024), 75 (2025); first automatic exchanges scheduled for 2027; in the EU implemented as DAC8 (Council Directive (EU) 2023/2226).
Benefits for your practice
Your clients bring you demanding advisory work in a difficult field: tax strategy, optimization within the rules, and the filing itself. As the tax rules grow more complex, so does that work. I support it with the technical part: exchange data, derivatives, on-chain activity, missing records.
I collect the data and reconcile it into one consistent history. From there, I calculate the results and prepare the documentation with methodology, statutory citations, and an audit trail.
Outlined segments are your advisory work. Filled segments are the technical part I take over.
Excerpts from the documentation are shown on the services page.

The easiest start is a single case: send me the most difficult crypto mandate on your desk, and I will tell you what its documentation takes.
hello@ilja.taxGerne auch auf Deutsch!
I am not a tax advisor. My work is calculation, methodology, citations, and audit trail. Filing tax returns and representing you before the tax authority is tax advisor work, which is not included in my services.
